Custom Work
When it comes right down to it, pretty much every piece from Two Ravens Trading Company is a custom piece. Doing everything by hand (and being human to boot) means that sometimes there are variations in outcomes. Each piece is unique in that regard, which means the leather project you receive is uniquely yours, never to truly be duplicated.
That being said, there's a big difference between simply altering the color of leather used in a project and creating a whole new design for a client. The process of creating can be fraught with iteration, trial, and (sometimes) error. I get asked a lot "Can you make {insert leather, handmade good here}?" The answer is usually "yes", but there are caveats.
My current custom rate is $25 an hour and a minimum of 4 hours on any project. Between design, materials procurement, and production, it's going to take at least 4 hours to get the project out to you. Again, I'm not talking about a minor modification of one of my standard production pieces, but rather a "from scratch" production. This could include things like cosplay pieces, holsters and sheaths, leatherwork with heavy design/art elements, and work related belts/pouches.
